ABOUT

All my life I have enjoyed farming and the rural setting in which I have lived. For many years now I have worked professionally across the country as a rural professional and in local government. I started this business for a reason - to help and to have impact more directly with people, communities and the rural sector and to improve our environment in Aotearoa - New Zealand to ensure a farming future. I have the ability and experience to help with a range of roles, from strategic advice to developing policy to building programmes and projects, to working in governance, or with you in your farm or forestry business or community on a plan. Or just providing advice on where to plant a tree for erosion control. I have a lot to offer, and I want to use my time doing things that have impact.

I have a whakatauākī (proverb) I learnt which I follow everyday;

Ki te wātea o te hinengaro, me te pai o te rere o te wairua, ka tāea ngā mea katoa

When the mind is free and the spirit is flowing, all things are possible.

Growing Farmers and growing the rural community is about growing capability to meet the future to achieve your goals. In a world of increasing complexity with regards to farming and being part of a rural community, you can't stand still. You must grow. A community must grow. When growth occurs, confidence builds to meet the opportunities, the challenges and the change. I help to sow the seeds.

Build your Confidence. After a lifetime of involvement in the farming sector, one thing you need is confidence. Today’s world shakes one’s ability to be confident to make a decision in many varied and different situations. It is a real problem. Confidence comes from being clear about why you’re doing what you’re doing and knowledge to support it. I help you get to that confidence point by working with you.

Supporting Communities is so important. Having lived in and worked with rural and urban communities it is important to support them in their aspirations and ambitions. From my own experience in a range of community situations it is about joining their team and helping to put in place the framework for that communities future. I will support your community.
